ALUEXPO 2013 brought together the leading specialists from the aluminium industry, as well as 151 international companies from 32 countries that wanted to take advantage of the potential opportunities in Turkey. Aluexpo was over 8.468 m² exhibition stands held at a venue located close to the International airport in Istanbul. Over the 5 days we were able to showcase the Vapormatt technology with our Turkish agents ADA Trustar who had set up an impressive stand.
We were kept very busy for the duration of the show answering questions, taking enquires and demonstrating the wet blast process specifically designed for cleaning aluminium extrusion dies.
In my experience, it really helps when you can demonstrate “live” the cleaning efficiency of the wet blast process to the visitors to the stand, we had a number of contaminated (dirty) extrusion dies that we were able to clean using the Vapormatt Panther machine. Visitors who witnessed the process told us that compared to the dry blast method that is mostly used in dies shops in Turkey, wet blasting is considerably more effective especially when the die profile is very small as the media/water mix flows very thoroughly through the apertures; the additional benefits of extended die life, no substrate removal and extended die life are all factors that contributed to the genuine interest and many enquiries taken at the show.
