A lot of the time we find ourselves in situations where an application may work with both wet and dry blasting processes. To remain competitive we have developed wet blasting into a controlled process so, when we are up against dry blasting, our systems become clear winners.
This situation has largely come about because wet blasting was originally a replacement for dry blasting. Having been considered a risk to health and safety the earliest wet blasting cabinets were built as a response to new legislation.
However, 60 or so years later, the argument is now won with different benefits. The table below goes some way to explain the key considerations behind a purchase and why wet blasting is a better choice.
As you can see that once stripped down to the key deciding factors wet blasting systems come out on top. Whilst every argument has a downside as well Vapormatt have done very well to make this almost negligible in most cases.
As of the first companies in the world to make wet blasting a controlled process we have been able to make the positives far outweigh the negatives. With some of our larger automated solutions able to deliver results to a micron level of accuracy wet blasting is exceeding dry blasting for a range of applications and, in some cases, other processes.
