Removing un-sintered powder from complex internal channels

Our wet blasting (vapor blasting) technology is particularly well suited to finishing components produced by several different additive manufacturing technologies including:

- Selective Laser Sintering (SLS)
- Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF)
- Electron Beam Melting (EBM)
- Selective Laser Melting (SLM)

Puma +, Puma, Vapormate - our range for AM finishing

Our range of automatic and manual wet blasting machines (or vapor blasting machines) for finishing additive manufactured (AM) components is designed to fulfill the requirements of manufacturers in all industries using AM technologies, including the medical, aerospace, automotive, and defence industries.

The many benefits of finishing AM components by wet blasting

Despite advances in additive manufacturing (AM) technology many processes still require post-process finishing to produce a component with an acceptable finish.

Wet blasting (or vapor blasting) finishes AM components to a very high standard - beyond the finish achieved by CNC in the case of metal components. Other benefits include:

New Puma + with barrel - perfect for finishing additive manufactured components.

Our new Puma + with barrel automatic wet blasting (vapor blasting) machine is perfect for the rapid finishing of additive manufactured (AM) components.

It’s one of three machines that make up our recommended range for finishing AM components. The other two are the new Puma with optional barrel and our highly successful Vapormate manual machines.

You can see the new Puma + with barrel and Vapormate on our stand, C49, Hall 12, at Formnext in Frankfurt – 7 to 10th November.
