Vapormatt, leaders in wet blasting technology, is announcing the appointment of a new senior Sales Engineer who is set to build on the company's successes in wire and cable industries. The company says the move is designed to develop the further expand the availability of Vapormatt systems both in the UK and internationally that have been designed to help customers maximise processing efficiency.  

The benefits of wet blasting as a means of surface preparation for the wire industry are being highlighted by specialist manufacturer Vapormatt on stand 15 / G36 at Wire 2012 Exhibition in Dusseldorf.

Vapormatt's first "Contract Process Service Centre" has been set up in Gloucester, to provide a comprehensive range of surface treatment and finishing operations - primarily for automotive engineering companies and component manufacturers involved in both metals and composites technologies, production and maintenance operations. Future Centres are planned for strategic locations throughout the UK.

Running a 2.5L, 200hp Mercury engine Nosferatu has undergone some serious overhaul work to get it race ready and we are expecting great things from the black boat.

The Finnish aluminium extrusion specialist, Purso Oy, has recently installed a Vapormatt automated wet blast system on its latest advanced-technology extrusion line in Siuro, Finland – one of the most modern of its kind in Europe.  Extrusion force of the new line is 27MN (megaNewtons).  The company also operates two other lines, with extrusion forces of 35MN and 16MN. 

At this year’s METEF 2008, leading specialist in wet blast surface cleaning and processing, Vapormatt Ltd, has unveiled the Vapormatt Jaguar what the company claims is a “major breakthrough” in the cleaning and edge preparation of aluminium extrusion dies.

Vapormatt’s ‘Cougar’ wet blast machine has been shown to provide a highly effective means of cleaning aluminium extrusion dies between manufacturing runs to remove surface contamination. Use of the machine can achieve important benefits and significantly streamline the die cleaning operation.

The ‘Water-Assisted Stripping Process’ (‘WASP’) – developed by surface preparation specialist Vapormatt – is being adopted increasingly by airlines worldwide to speed up and streamline the degreasing and cleaning and, when necessary, the complete de-painting of aircraft wheels during regular maintenance operations.
